Kawasaki – all green baja 1000 from ‘88 to ‘96

Will the 2009 Baja 1000 restart a winning streak as Kawasaki had from 1988 to 1996? Will Honda continue to dominate like they did from 1997 to 2008? Or is the famous “dark horse” out there tomorrow and a KTM with the “down-under” team or even Yamaha will take the checkered first?? Hard to say, Kawasaki is returning to Baja for the first time in nearly 20 years with a factory-supported team. But: this is Baja, nothing is a given! The challenge of SCORE Baja racing is significant enough itself, some serious competition alongside the Honda racers for the first time in 19 years? The perfect set-up for a great race! The fans will like it, the sport will get a boost! Below the last Kawasaki dominance at baja racing.
